Rupal Morjaria specialises in medical retina diseases and cataract surgery. Her expertise includes the treatment of macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, central serous retinopathy, retinal vein occlusions and inherited retinal disease such as retinitis pigmentosa. She has extensive experience in all retinal injection therapies as well as retinal laser treatments, including non-scarring sub-threshold retinal laser.

Rupal Morjaria studied medicine and qualified from Birmingham University in 2005. She underwent her specialist Ophthalmology training in the West Midlands Deanery, becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. Rupal then completed a 3-year specialist fellowship in Medical Retina and Genetics, working alongside Professor Susan Downes at Oxford University and later at Moorfields Eye Hospital with Professor Andrew Webster. In 2018, Rupal was awarded a PhD from the University College London for her work on the impact of eye disease on sleep/wake patterns at Oxford University Hospitals.
